Road Trip to Missions

Hey Everyone,
The last month has been pretty busy and lacking in internet so we apologize for the lack of updates. We just finished our trip from Victoria, BC to Sonningdale, SK. We started August 30th and arrived September 20th. Along the way we stopped in many places and visited family and friends, telling them about our ministry and inviting them to join our financial and prayer support team as we aim to get back to Germany in November.
Check out this video to hear the amazing testimony of how we could even do this trip.
So how did it go?
As you saw in the video, we were getting ready to head out on the first leg of our cross the continent trip, hopefully ending in Michigan before we have to get back to Germany.
I would say that the trip was a success though it did not turn out the way that we thought that it would. There were a lot of changing of plans and canceled meetings. But in the end I/we saw God working in the background on our behalf.
We had divine appointments where were able to be there and pray for people in their times of need. Other times, the changing of plans lined us up to meet peopl
e that we wouldn't have before and encourage one another in the faith. With so many churches closed and normal social circles disrupted, it was good to bring the love of God to people that have been isolated and alone, or just needed a good talk.
Support wise, God has given us more partners to come along with us on our missions journey, and many more that are now praying for us and keeping up with our family. We are thankful to be joined by so many hearts for the cause that God has laid on our hearts.
Family Life
We are so proud of our kids and how they have handled all the change and travel. They have been champs! They continue to be the happiest kids you ever saw and have loved all the new campgrounds, experiences, friends, and family that we have been able to see along the way.
What's Next
(or) Part 2 ~ Coming Soon
We now have made it to Saskatchewan and will be here for the next few weeks meeting with potential partners and seeing many family and friends from years past. We pray that God leads us to the people that He wants to be part of our team. We know that He has a plan and we have seen time and time again, that when we slow down and listen, He gives us the next step. But just step by step. I think He likes us to do it together with Him. He doesn't want us running ahead. So we listen, do our part, and enjoy the journey with Him.
We look forward to returning to our home in Germany and getting back to the work of discipleship and serving practically that He has for us there. But, we are so thankful for this time and all that He has given us to do now. Even in the work of preparation, we see Him using us to encourage, strengthen and change lives, even in the smallest ways.
Prayer
Please pray with us that the border to the States will open to family members. We so hope to be reunited with Matthew's family and with our friends and supporters that we haven't seen in years.
Thank you for your continued support and prayers. May you feel God's blessing and love in this day which He has made for you!
And thanks for reading!
In Christ,
Matthew, Gillian, Elaina, and Emeth Dean
