Ready for Take Off

Here we are, maybe making our last update from this side of the the Atlantic. Borders are open to Germany and we only need our second vaccine shot to get home! It has been a long journey from March 2020 to July 2021 but we have made it and now prepare for the last stretch of the journey.

We got the news a couple weeks ago that the travel ban to the EU had lifted and with a vaccine we could rebook our flights and travel back to Germany without visas. We are now prepping our 'Little House on Wheels' for another trip back to Saskatchewan to catch our flights (as we could not change the departure location). We are fixing up and packing up to leave on Sunday and should be fully vaccinated by the the next weekend. Then we just have to wait two weeks before boarding our flights! So we should be quarantining once again in our house in Germany but the end of July!

We are so excited to get back and to continue our ministry of mentoring and equipping believers at YWAM Herrnhut. There has been a lot of change there so I anticipate it will take a little while for us to catch up with the change, settle in and to get back into the swing of ministry again.

This will be our last two years in Germany and we hope to strengthen and support what God is doing there though member care of the staff and training of new staff in how to be resilient in mission.

But before all that, we have a lot of goodbyes to say and a long trip to make. Pray for us and the kids as we transition back to our lives that we left 16 months ago
