Life is defined by change. We know that someone is alive by their motion. And so I comfort myself that this would suggest that our family is very much alive. Our life the last 3 months has been nothing but change and motion. So as the seasons change and we are now locked in ice and snow, still in ’the true north’ it shocks us to find ourselves in a momentary repose.

We tried to cross the border into the States though rules and caution told us that would not work. We knew that this would have been the best option for our family to stay safe, secluded, and together, so we tried anyway.

Turned back, we headed back to Sonningdale, a Saskatchewan farming town, were we have watched fall turn to winter and the pandemic go from bad to worse. Our next move is one we didn’t want to have to take, but according to the USA border guard, the only way we can see Matthew’s family and finish raising our support is for myself and the kids to fly down and for Matt to drive our means of safely quarantining, our little house on wheels, across the border.

We make our next change on Nov. 24. Thank you for your prayers in the past and we hope you will stand with us again.

As for us, we find a new normal everywhere we go. We try to see the glass neither half full or half empty, but through God’s eyes. Trying to do what He says every day. Not always getting it right, but I think He knows we are trying.

I think He sees, that in this crazy season, we are all trying 🙂

These are my reflections on that which is happening in our lives. To hear more details, please read our updates in The Dean News articles.
